Penance Queen

The Penance Queen is the boss creature of Barbarian Assaultplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigBarbarian Assault

This page, and all subpages of it, are intended to document the mechanics of Barbarian Assault. The minigame itself is not yet implemented in the game. This is due to Ryan taking more than the two days that he had promised to code it. Because of this we added a custom way of getting the Fighter Torso which requires 7,5m to purchase. The Dialogue shows how many days since Ryan made the promise.
. The Queen is faced as the final battle of the minigame.

The Queen is massive, and looks like a giant deformed cricket. She is beautiful in her own way.

Wave

The Penance Queen is faced on wave 10 of the minigame; see wavesplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigBarbarian Assault Wave

The Barbarian Assault minigame occurs in instanced waves. There are 10 waves, officially called Wave 1 through Wave 10. The waves are highly standardized. ----------

Cycle Barbarian Assault waves occur in cycles of 10 ticks. The cycle is the time unit of the game; everything is scheduled according to these cycles.
. Successfully completing wave 10 requires defeating the Queen.

Spawn

The Penance Queen spawns minions, called penance spawnplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigPenance Spawn

Penance spawn are minions to the Penance Queen.Penance spawn are tiny. They look like a cross between a crane fly nymph and an earthworm.Spawn are exclusively melee creatures. They are relatively weak, but have a reasonably high attack speed, and can pile on players.
.

The spawns are relatively weak, and are exclusively melee creatures. However, the Queen spawns many of them, and the multi-combat environment of the minigame allows the spawns to pile up on players, which can be dangerous.

Egg Theory

Omega Egg

Defeating the Penance Queen requires firing a special kind of egg at her. These special eggs, called omega eggs, are the only way that the Queen can be harmed.

8 Eggs

To kill the Queen, 8 omega eggs must be loaded into the cave's cannon (on the western cannon platform of the cave), and then fired at the Queen. Less than 8 eggs are required if the eggs are spam-shot (via spam-clicking in the cannon interface).

Assembly Line

An omega egg is created from a yellow eggplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigYellow Egg

The yellow egg is dropped by the Penance Queen in the Barbarian Assault minigame. Egg Production The yellow egg is dropped by the penance queen periodically and randomly as long as she is alive. The egg is typically dropped either underneath the queen or very nearby. Egg Theory
. Doing so requires a step-by-step assembly of many parts which are found throughout the wave 10 cave. The steps must be performed in order. These steps and their corresponding roles, in order, are described in the following table.

MaterialRoleProduces
Yellow EggCollectorYellow Egg
Poison CraterHealerPoisoned Egg
Mushroom SpikesAttackerSpiked Egg
Lava CraterDefenderOmega Egg

In order for the steps to be completed, each of the 4 roles present in the team must cooperate. The eggs are passed from one role to the next, via the “use” option - each role uses their completed egg on the next role in the assembly line, via clicking on the egg in their inventory and then clicking on the relevant player.

Yellow Eggs

The omega egg creation process begins with yellow eggs.

Collector

Yellow eggs are picked up by the collector. Yellow eggs are dropped by the penance queen, typically either underneath the queen or within a few squares of the queen's location. The eggs are dropped somewhat frequently, but it may take a few moments to collect the 8 required eggs (unless using only 1-2 eggs via spam shooting).

Materials

The assembly line steps to create the egg are performed via resources scattered throughout the periphery of the wave 10 cave. There are approximately 25(?) locations for each resource.

Healer

Poison craters are used by the healer. Healers must dunk an egg in the crater, by using the egg on the crater or by clicking on the crater while having the required egg in their inventory.

Attacker

Mushroom spikes are used by the attacker. Spikes must be harvested from spiked mushrooms, and then used on the eggs in the attacker's inventory.

Defender

Lava craters are used by the defender. Defenders must dunk an egg in the crater, by using the egg on the crater or by clicking on the crater while having the required egg in their inventory.

Power

The Queen's stats will be displayed here once known.

The Queen's max hit is 13.

The Queen attacks all players at once, via a ranged multi-hit attack that consists of homing blue disc missiles fired at each player.
