Bork

Intro:

Bork is a big ugly ork

Bork is available to kill once every day. He is an excellent source of charms, and killing him grants Slayer XP.

Requirements:

Under Construction

  • 43+ Prayer for Protect from Melee
  • 60+ Attack for Dragon Dagger
  • Lost City quest for Dragon Dagger

The basic idea of this gear is to get as much prayer bonus as possible. At higher prayer/combat levels, this may not be necessary. It is even possible to kill Bork with no gear besides the Dragon Dagger

Note that there are several monsters you need to run past to get to Bork including Dust Devils and Bronze Dragons. It is therefore strongly recommended to bring the Face Mask and the Anti dragon shield for the run.

Worn Gear

  • (Strongly recommended) Face Mask (or Slayer helmet if you have it)
  • (Strongly recommended) Anti dragon shield
  • (Strongly recommended) DDS (Dragon Dagger p++) or your best Dragon Dagger
  • Ring of Wealth (recommended) or Explorers Ring
  • Sara/Zammy/Guthix Cloak or Fire cape or any cape that gives prayer or strength bonus
  • Fury or Glory or Unholy Symbol or Holy Symbol
  • Proselyte Body or Monk robe top
  • Proselyte Legs or Monk robe bottom
  • Barrows Gloves or Combat Bracelet
  • Dragon Boots or Climbing boots

Inventory

  • Tele runes or teletab
  • Prayer Potion (juuuuust in case)
  • Super Attack or Attack Potion
  • Super Strength or Strength Potion
  • A few pieces of food in case you get hit on the run
  • (Optional, to switch to for fighting) God book (even with no pages) or your best Defender
  • (Optional, to switch to for fighting) Helm of Neitiznot or Proselyte helm

Here is an example set of gear:

Getting There:

Start in Edgeville and make your way north jumping over the wilderness ditch. you will need to find the crevice at level 6 wilderness which is one of the entrances to the Chaos tunnels.

The Chaos tunnels are filled with little rooms of isolated tunnel which contain monsters. To move between the tunnel rooms you need to navigate using the portals. The portals fairly intuitively transport you to the other side of the wall that they are next to, however there are two random effects that can happen with the portals. (1) You get a message saying “The portal is stained with dark magic”. This means that you need to wait approximately 5 minutes for the portal to become available. If you are in one of the rooms with high level monsters you might need to run back, or even teleport out and try again. (2) The portal transports you to a random room in the chaos tunnels. In this case you will need to consult the map to make your way to Bork, or you could tele out and try again.

The general direction that you need to aim for is the north western corner.

The monsters you need to run past are:

  • Gargoyle (level 111)
  • Mummy (level 103)
  • Monk of Zamorak (level 17 and level 22)
  • Dust Devil (level 93)
  • Black Demon (level 172)
  • Bronze Dragon (level 131)
  • Earth Warrior (level 51)
  • Dagannoth (level 74 and level 92)

Strategy:

Bork is weak to stab attacks. The Dragon Dagger will make Bork melt. Just make sure that you are not using the slash combat style.

Note that there is also a mage in there casting a weakening spell on you're the whole time, but you are not able to attack it. The mage lowers your defence level slightly, but this is nothing to worry about since you remain 100% protected by your Protect from Melee prayer.

Make sure to turn on Protect from Melee as soon as the Bork animation finishes. Bork can hit quite hard if you don't get it on before he hits you.

Pot up if you brought Attack and/or strength potions. If you have a high enough prayer level and prayer bonus with your gear, then you can also turn on Piety or your best attack/strength boosting prayer, and then unload 4 spec attacks on Bork

When bork gets to somewhere about 30% health he summons three legions. You can optionally kill these legions - they each drop 1x charm.

Depending on how long the kill takes, you may be able to use a few more spec attacks on Bork to finish him off.

Once Bork has died, the screen will start shaking, and you'll be told that reinforcements are coming, so you should get out quickly (I've never seen these reinforcements - i don't know if they actually come or not). Pick up the loot and tele out, you're done!

Rewards:

It is strongly recommended to wear a Ring of Wealth upon the final stroke of killing Bork
