More strategies will become available when diagrams are available. This document briefly describes general strategies for each role.
(Put a diagram here) It is useful to divide the cave into regions, as this helps describe strategic movements.
The Center of the cave is the central region between the 2 cannon platforms, as well as the entire space to the north of it, between the ranger and runner spawn caves.
The West of the cave is the rectangular region from the northwest corner to the western cannon platform.
The East of the cave is the rectangular region from the northeast corner to the eastern cannon platform.
The South of the cave is the entire southern region of the cave, everything south of the cannon platforms.
Gather penance rangers and fighters into a stack and use AoE damage methods. Use multihit specs (e.g. dragon dagger, dragon claws). Frequent hits and AoE hits are more powerful than slow hits and single hits. Hit each ranger as soon as it spawns, to avoid them traveling east. Stay to the west of the cave as much as reasonably possible.
Follow the attacker and pick up eggs dropped by penance fighters and rangers. Do not cross the center of the cave; stay to the west, or stay near the attacker. Be prepared to shoot red eggs at runners and healers if it is helpful. Do not shoot green or blue eggs.
Stock up on food, then run to the eastern trap. Drop a few bait (3 or so) on the square above the eastern trap, then run towards the center of the cave. Drop a few pieces of bait (2-3) on the way to the center, and then drop a stack of bait (5-7) a few squares southeast of the hammer. Pick up the hammer and logs, depending on what wave you are in, and then run back to the eastern trap and repair it as needed. Spend as little time in the center as possible.
More advanced techniques are available for killing runners efficiently in bulk, and keeping healers under control. Study healer and runner mechanics for details.
Use 1 poison pack on each healer as soon as it spawns, or as soon as you can get to it. It is more important to hit each healer once than it is to kill an individual healer. Once each penance healer has been poisoned at least once, then focus on killing individual healers. Keep an eye on your attacker's health. Try your best to avoid crossing the center of the cave; stay to the east as much as reasonably possible. If you need to heal the attacker, run to them through the center, heal them (and then heal your collector if needed), and then run to the south of the cave, returning to the east without crossing the center.

This page, and all subpages of it, are intended to document the mechanics of Barbarian Assault. The minigame itself is not yet implemented in the game. This is due to Ryan taking more than the two days that he had promised to code it. Because of this we added a custom way of getting the Fighter Torso which requires 7,5m to purchase. The Dialogue shows how many days since Ryan made the promise.
