Penguin Hide and Seek

Every week after the weekly reset, 10 penguins go into hiding across all of 2009Scape. If you can manage to find and spot these penguins, you will earn points that you can exchange for coins or experience.

There aren't any requirements to get started with spotting penguins on 2009scape, although some of them may be located in areas locked behind quests such as Zanaris, Canfis, or Jatizso. In the future some may also be located in the wilderness where special precautions should be taken to ensure your survival.

For each point turned in, you will receive your choice of 6,500 coins or an amount of xp in a skill of your choice equal to your level in that skill multiplied by 25.

Once you have managed to track down and “spy” on some penguins (or even just one) make your way to the Penguin enclosure at the Ardougne Zoo (the white area highlighted in purple on the map below). Once there, enter through the gate south of the enclosure and Right-click on Larry (found within). Larry offers 2 options:

• Talk-to
• Tuxedo-time (not currently implemented)

Talking to Larry you have the following options:

• Can I have a spy notebook?
• Can I have a hint?
• I'd like to turn in my points.

Choosing the first option gives you a “Spy notebook” which you can read to see how many points you currently have available to turn in.

Asking for a hint prompts Larry to provide one of the hints listed in the first column below which describes the location of a current penguin somewhere.

Choosing to turn in your points results in Larry giving you the option to exchange them for either Coins or Experience.

It is strongly recommended that you choose Experience (See above for calculation used). You can only choose 1 skill every time you turn in points (in other words you can't spread the XP between multiple skills for a single turn-in session).

After each weekly reset the penguins will find 10 locations where they will remain until the next reset. Check the “penguin-spying” channel in the 2009scape Discord Server or the Penguin Hunting Master Thread in our forums for details on where they've been spotted for the current week!
