Healers have 2 significant roles: heal players, and kill enemy [[minigames:barbarian_assault:penance_healer|penance healers]].

The healer role is generally considered to require good situational awareness. Healers receive partial information concerning how to complete their role: they are given a status bar indicating how much health each team member has (but not where they are located); and they are able to observe the health bars of any penance healers within their sight range.

Healers use [[minigames:barbarian_assault:poison_pack|poison packs]] to kill penance healers. Poison packs deal a set amount of damage.
